Lesson for 7th Case-ending
The lesson is given below in the tabular format. The column1 contains the words in brackets. Change the case-ending of those words to the 7th case-ending. While changing, number of the word must be retained. i.e. a singular must be taken to the 7th case-ending sigular and a plural one to the plural paradigm.
Column3 is meant to place right verbal form of the verb 'अस्', 'भू', 'वृत्' or 'विद्'. (अस्ति, भवति, वर्तते, विद्यते). While writing the verbal form, the number of the words in Column2 must match with the verbal form in the Column3
Eg.
1) वृक्षे विहगः अस्ति। (meaning - There is a bird on a tree. Or A bird is on a tree)
2) गृहे जनाः सन्ति।
The meanings of the words are mentioned below the word. Try to remember the words and their meanings.
Please note:
The forms like वृक्षः or वृक्षाः indicates the word ending in अ and is in masculine gender. The first one is the singular and the second is the plural.
Similarly, the forms like गृहम् or गृहाणि indicates the word ending in अ and is in neuter gender. The first one is the singular and the second is the plural.
